Prosper on Plants is here to help!

Philosophy

Prosper on Plants is a health coaching service that looks at health as a whole. I strongly believe that optimal health is simply not achieved by eating the “correct” foods. Health comes from the word “hale” of Germanic origin. According to dictionary.com It means “wholeness, a being whole, sound or well.” A healthy lifestyle includes eating foods that nurture the body and mind, having regular exercise, spending time relaxing, obtaining adequate sleep, and being surrounded by loved ones.

Mind Over Medicine: Lisa Rankin, MD

I am not here to dictate what you can and can not eat, I am simply hear to guide you and help you make better choices. It is ultimately your decision what you decide to nurture your body with. I do not believe in constructing an exact diet plan on a spreadsheet with all calories and macros counted out. This way of living is not sustainable long term. My goal is for you to become comfortable in choosing your own foods and lifestyle that will make you feel the best you have ever felt.

Each and everyone is biologically different, as a result, I believe that there is no “one way to cure/help all.” This is why a lot of the fad diet fail. First and foremost, they are usually not sustainable long term, do not work for everyone, and are usually based on a franchise. Top level athletes will have different dietary needs than someone who has a static desk job for eight hours a day. Some of us prosper on a higher carbohydrate “diet” while others need more fat in their diet. I also believe that the body needs all macros, however, each individual person will need them in a different ration.
